11th Annual Shoebox Drive for the Elderly

Castelo de Sonhos (castle of dreams) is a registered charity in the Algarve, helping more than 200 local elderly people. Currently, the charity is planning its 11th Annual Shoebox Drive for the Elderly. These ‘gift boxes’ will be delivered by the Castelo de Sonhos team in time for Christmas. If you would like to participate in this very worthy cause, here’s what you’ll need to do:

1.     Find an empty shoe box. Most shoe shops are only too pleased to give them away.
2.     Decide whether your gift will be for a man or a woman
3.     Fill the box with a variety of gifts (individually wrapped if you like) – see suggestions below. Please pack carefully and wrap breakables well.
4.     Wrap the shoebox and label for man or woman, or couple.
5.     Deliver the filled shoeboxes to Castelo de Sonhos in Silves or at the Holiday Inn, Algarve in Armação de Pêra, before 1st December.
