My Christmas gift guide: some fabulous ideas for men and women

My Christmas Gift Guide

It’s mid November and Christmas is going to hit us in no time at all. Can you believe that we’re already talking about it? It seems mad to me, because last Christmas only seems like a few short months ago. Having said that, I’m delighted of course. I love the whole Christmas vibe and shopping is always fun…unless you leave it too late that is. Which is why I’ve scoured online to find some really fun and fabulous finds for you and your loved ones…

Fabulous knits

I’ve always had a thing for leafy prints as well as anything else ‘earthy’ so I fell in love with this stunning Apricot dark forest ombre top (under 25 euros). If you prefer your ombre without a print, have a look at this beautiful mohair blend boatneck jumper from Land’s End. Priced at £120. And this snowflake coatigan from Celtic & Co made me swoon. Not only does it look gorgeous, but it’s super snuggly too! A little pricier though at £199. And then I spotted this delight from Ted Baker – the enchanted dream jumper. Isn’t it beautiful? It could be yours for £120.

Gorgeous Green

Green is my favourite colour. Whether it’s emerald, jade, olive, moss, teal, mint or pistachio, I just love them all. I really ought to have more green in my wardrobe. Here are some gorgeous green delights I’ve been drooling over this week…

This fluffy green short sleeved top from Stradivarius is exactly my kind of thing. I adore the colour, not to mention the price: £19.99 and think it would look fab over a polo neck in the colder months.
This Missoni roll neck poncho from Zee & Co has been reduced from £490 to just £98!! Talk about a bargain. And it’s such a gorgeous print and colour.
If you’re after the perfect party skirt, then look no further than this uber fabulous Premium Bird Sequin skirt (under 65 euros) from Miss Selfridge. Actually, who needs a party? Team it with a pair of sneakers and a tee for a super fun look to wear anywhere.
I spotted this super cute polka dot coat from Boden (£198) and couldn’t help but swoon with delight. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Swoon-worthy shoes & boots

Like most women I know, I’m a bit of a shoeaholic. Just like Imelda Marcos, I can’t get enough of them. I can’t wait to build our new house so I have more room to fit them all in! But even with less space, I can’t help myself. Here are a few pairs I’ve fallen for…

These pale pink ankle boots from Schuh are the epitome of prettiness. They would look equally as good with a pair of boyfriend jeans as a girlie dress. They’re priced at £50.
Dressy sneakers are a fantastic option for those that just can’t do heels and these Kurt Keiger lovelies from John Lewis are no exception. Love the colour, love the embellishment! They’re available for 150 euros.
Dainty shoes made with lace make me want to weep with joy (okay, so perhaps that’s a little bit of an exaggeration. Suffice to say I LOVE them!), and these Ruby Shoos from Shoes International are simply beautiful. Available for £54.99.
You can never go wrong with red shoes, right? They always uplift any kind of outfit. This lovely pair from Boo Hoo are perfect for the cold weather, keeping your tootsies a little warmer than a high heeled sandal. I love the frill around the ankle. Available for £30.

Ultimate party dresses

This time of year, many of us start thinking about what we’re going to wear to this party or that one. So here are a few absolutely beautiful dresses I spotted whilst browsing…

The first, from Coast, looks absolutely divine. I mean check out that soft deep burgundy velvet and sexy neckline. You’ll be sure to knock em dead wherever you go!
OMG… that was my thought when I first saw this dress from Little Black Dress. Described as the Jywal Evelyn beaded long Gatsby dress in blue, it’s available for £179.99. Isn’t it divine?
Most women can’t go wrong with a wrap dress and this one, from Wallis, is stunning. That deep blue is heaven sent, right?
My inner goth girl did a little leap when I saw this dress from French Connection. The black lace and delicateness of the fabric is perfect (and so me!). Priced at £170.

Comfort

These sheepskin slippers from Just Sheepskin are the coolest I’ve seen! I love the sparkliness and the added animal print. Available in other colours too, for £60.
If you really feel the cold outdoors and you also like to listen to music, how about these fab wired earmuffs from Ugg? Great idea, and they’ll keep your ears nice and toasty at the same time. Priced at £85.
For winter days when we just want to chill out indoors and watch our favourite TV shows, this lounge hoodie is perfect. Love the colour and I especially love the luxuriousness of the Sherpa fleece with which it’s lined. Available from Crew Clothing for £65.
When it’s raining outside and you have to take the dog out, how about these fabulous printed girlie wellies from Joules? Aren’t they so pretty? Available for £49.95

Great gifts for him

I don’t know about you, but I always find buying gifts for a man so difficult. So, to help you out, here are a few fun suggestions…

These boxers from Urban Surfer are the nuts (sorry, couldn’t resist that one he he he!). Available for £24.99, your man is certainly going to be impressed by the spitfire print (plus, they’re a bit sexy, right?
I have a pair of Morlands Glastonbury sheepskin slippers (see my post about them here) and I adore them. They’re so warm and cozy, so how about a pair for the man in your life? These ones are just £59.
Something a little different but which would look fabulous on any man’s desk is this genuine leather organiser from House of Fraser. Handy, luxurious and a gift he won’t expect. Priced at £45.
I’m a bit of a chocaholic so receiving (dark) chocolate as a gift always makes me happy ;). I’m also a big fan of Agatha Christie so when I spotted these Murder on the Orient Express chocolates for £28 from Godiva, I knew I had to include them. Isn’t it an absolutely fabulous idea?
