A floaty white skirt, a bit of sparkle and an evening out with friends

 Floaty white skirt

When the weather turns really hot, there’s nothing better than wearing loose-fitting floaty things, which is why I bought this floaty white skirt in the sales last week. Plus the fact that it’s really girlie, and when you have super short pixie hair like mine, it makes a nice change to look super feminine!

I should add here that when I first had my pixie cut, a friend told me I looked like a boy (insert shocked emoji here). Clearly I took no notice because I’ve gone super short three times now 🙂 I do like it when people are honest, but there are better ways to do it lol!

I bought this gorgeous floaty white skirt at the Designer Outlet Algarve whilst shopping with a pal. It was in the Intimissimi Tezenis Calzedonia shop (that’s a mouthful!), which is basically three shops in one. It cost 15 euros and to be honest, it’s not my usual style, but as soon as I put it on, it felt right and I have to go with the flow when I have those feelings! I’m glad I did too, I wore this to a friend’s bbq and it was super comfortable.

Floaty white skirtThe little polka dot vest top has been in my wardrobe for years, and I love it. I’ve long been a huge fan of vest tops – if you have good shoulders, they really do help to make them look even better. And I’m not ashamed to say that I do have good shoulders 😉

I bought the top from Stradivarius, a shop I often browse in, and occasionally buy stuff, especially in the sales. Having said that, this summer, I haven’t….yet. Give me time lol.

The black sparkly sandals, however, are new. I specifically went out to find a pair of flat black sandals, and would you believe, this was the only pair I could find that I liked. I could’ve gone online, of course, but when you want something, you usually want it there and then! (Well, I do). And living in Portugal, buying online often means waiting a week…at least.

So I found these sandals in the Guimaraes shoe shop at the Portimao Retail Centre. They were super cheap (so I doubt they’ll last particularly long), reduced from 15 euros to 10 euros! But they’re really comfy, probably due to their relaxed fit. However, whenever I undo the buckle, I end up with black sparkly bits everywhere. But I can handle a bit of sparkle 😉
