Having fun with the George Dress Selector

I don’t wear dresses very often (apart from with jeans). Don’t get me wrong, I love them, it’s just that I tend to feel more confident in trousers because I’m never quite sure what dress style really suits me and my body shape. Which is why I was quite excited to have the opportunity to try out a new tool from George at Asda – the George Dress Selector.

This tool will help us gals find the perfect dress for body type, style and occasion. When I tried it, I was told that the best dresses for me and my body type appear to be maxi dresses. So armed with that knowledge, I chose these three beautiful maxi dresses from George to test out.

Two of the dresses are strapless, which I’m not usually particularly fond of because of the way they tend to squash the boob area but these were actually not so bad. I love the simplicity of the black strapless dress because you can easily dress it up or down.

I should note here that I asked Michael for his assistance to style all three of these dresses

I should note here that I asked Michael for his assistance to style all three of these dresses, by the way. Actually, I don’t think he did too much of a bad job lol 😉

The Dresses from George at Asda

The dress is incredibly comfortable. It’s soft fabric does hug my curves but I wasn’t too self-conscious because of the elasticated belted waist, allowing the top part to drape over the top.

It’s quite loose fitting with a string belt to help cinch the waist. The colours and pattern are simply gorgeous. Michael chose black flat sandals and dangly pink ear-rings – leaving the rest bare for a more casual look. Sadly, it appears to no longer be available on the site but there’s a similar brightly-coloured one here for £14.

Michael picked out a pair of black wedges for me to wear with it. He also chose a pair of blue earrings to pick out the blue in the pattern of the dress and a red bangle. I really liked the slit in the side of the dress, mirrored in the sleeves which makes it a little cooler for particularly hot days.

George at Asda have a multitude of dresses to choose from. Whether you’re looking for something for your hols, or a dressier event, you’re sure to find it there. And the best part is, not only do they deliver abroad, but the prices are super affordable making them accessible for everyone’s wallet. So what are you waiting for? Go have some fun with the George Dress Selector and see what dress suits your figure! I’d love to know how you get on.
