New glasses

Last week I had an eye test. It was my first in about two to three years and one I was desperately in need of. But I’ll tell you more about that on Friday. For the moment, suffice to say that I have new glasses, and here they are! Not the best photos, I admit. I’ve just realised that having my hair completely off my face doesn’t do me any justice. But at least I was a little cooler with the hair off my neck and forehead.

I love my new glasses though – as hubby says, they’re very classy, right? Typical of me though, they were one of the most expensive pairs in the shop lol! But so worth it – they’re super comfortable and very light, which is perfect considering I now have to wear them full time…yikes! I really do not like this photo (below) but it’s the best one to show off my new glasses, which are by Hacket. I also ordered some prescription sunglasses too but they won’t be available for a few weeks.

Floral romper

I needed something relatively cool to wear for a dinner with friends at our house. I spotted this beautiful black and white floral romper (or playsuit – I’m not entirely sure what to call it!) in Stradivarius last summer and I just had to have it. It was actually the top half that appealed to me more than anything. After all, I’m not much of a shorts kinda gal. But I simply had to have it.

This was the first time I wore it. The only problem is that it’s quite open at the top therefore it would probably look better on a bigger busted woman. To help cover up the exposed neckline, I used an old brooch. It was actually a little heavy for the fabric but it did it’s job for a few hours!

I do love the floral print and the softness of the fabric, which is perfectly suited for a romper. When the weather is cooler, I’ll wear a top underneath it so I won’t have to worry about pinning it. If I could have this in a full jumpsuit, I’d buy out the whole shop!

New glasses

I didn’t bother with a handbag considering we were eating at home. I simply added my favourite tan Massimo Dutti wedges, a very old choker, (which I love), a couple of brown bracelets and my diamond hoop earrings. In hindsight, I would definitely change the jewellery but I guess it was okay for an evening in (I was running late and so I just grabbed the first things I could find).

Love the new glasses on you Suzy but truly that black+white floral romper is adorable and makes you look about 35. Looking hot and sassy today! And for necklines like that a brooch is best when needed. I must say I miss shopping at stores like Massimo Dutti and Stradivarius which I did when I lived in Europe for 4 years.

Welcome by and join the linkup tomorrow hot mama. Thanks, Ada. =)

    • Thanks so much Ada! You’ve made me day lol! Oooh you lived in Europe for 4 years? Where were you based? Sorry I missed the linkup – my computer was being fixed!!!
      Hugs xx

  • I love your new glasses, they really suit you! The romper looks great with those wedges. I always have a few safety pins handy for gaping necklines, but a brooch is a much prettier option!

  • Those glasses look great Suzy! I used to get the glasses with no frame and wanted them to be invisiable. Now I think there are so many great frames, glasses are more fun! Your romper looks wonderful, love the style with those wedges!

  • I like this style of glasses. There Are very similar to mine. Up until a few weeks back I had a beautiful pair of Fendi glasses. Like you, they need to look good, after all they are on your face!. Anyway , my son’s puppy got hold of them! They are now being held by sticky tape! So it’s time for me to go to the opticians too! Oh and don’t dis the close up. It’s a fab photo xx
