I read about a fascinating book the other day, entitled Global Wicca Revolution. As I’ve always been intrigued by the Wiccan religion, I decided to ask the author to tell us more about it. Her post, below, is absolutely fascinating… THE GLOBAL WICCA REVOLUTION  Available on amazon and kindle stores in paperback and digital formats In the Global Wicca Revolution, the author Swati Prakash presents Wicca as a global spirituality that has a far-reaching significance on the future of our planet…. No matter how old I get, I will never stop loving all things Harry Potter. Ever since the first book was published and I was introduced to it by my lovely pal, Liz, I’ve been totally Harry mad. Like many people, I devoured each and every one of those books, watched every single movie at the cinema, purchased all the DVDs and I still watch them today. I got these leggings from Primark! Fabulous, right? But don’t worry… I won’t… Read more »

As you probably already know, I LOVE Massimo Dutti and was therefore overjoyed to have found this gorgeous burnt orange silk blouse in their sale for less then €20. What a total bargain! Although it looks a little shiny in this image, there was just too much sun, making it appear glossier than it is. Although the blouse is super long, I think it also looks good tucked into a pair of jeans or could easily be worn loose with leggings, perhaps. I teamed it with… Read more »

Are you a blubbering mess at the end of most soppy movies? I am. I’m terrible. I have even been known to cry watching adverts and… even during Eastenders once (I don’t watch it any more) and music videos. Actually I just have to listen to a sad song and I’m off, nose running, eyes watering and blotchy. What a mess. There are even some sad movies out there that I refuse to watch because I know they’re going to make me… Read more »

When I was the assistant editor of a lifestyle magazine, I did a series of articles on beauty treatments that were available in the region. One of them was particularly memorable for all the wrong reasons. Read on for my embarrassing spa treatments… It was at a local *thalassotherapy spa where they have all kinds of weird and wonderful treatments for anyone able to afford them. I was invited to spend a morning there where a number of treatments were… Read more »

* MASSIMO DUTTI * Have you noticed one of the most common lines in movies today is, ‘That’s what I’m talking about!’? And it’s usually expressed in some kind of exclamation (I reckon Eddie Murphy started it all off in Trading Places). Well, this is my new, regular, blog feature. ‘That’s what I’m talking about’ is basically about stuff that I think is cool. Sorry for using the term ‘cool’ but it’s just my age, I use it… a lot.Where was I? Oh yes, my cool… Read more »

One of this year’s most popular looks has undoubtedly been the jumpsuit. I’ve been seeing them everywhere and on women of all ages. The jumpsuit is definitely something that is flattering however young – or old – you are. I think it looks its best when paired with a fabulous pair of heels and a statement necklace (provided the jumpsuit is quite plain). I’ve tried on a few but always felt a bit ‘odd’ when the legs tapered in at… Read more »

I’m a biker’s wife, which also means I’m a worrier. Every time he takes to the roads with his biker buddies, I stress over what could happen out there. I should also mention that I live in Portugal where the driving is notably bad. However, I do have immense trust in his capability as a driver – he has been a biker since he was about five, after all. I met him when I was sixteen years old and I’ve… Read more »

Have you written a book and are now thinking about publishing it? Not sure what to do? Well, stick with me and I’ll help you through the ins and outs of self-publishing. It’s much easier than you might think. First, it’s imperative to ensure your book is as polished as it can be, i.e. if you can afford to, hire an editor and get numerous beta readers to read it through before you hit ‘publish’. If you can’t afford an editor… Read more »

For the past couple of months I’ve been spending most of my time on my back… no, not because of that (wink wink)! Issues with my back have plagued me for years and I’ve seen various doctors and chiropractors but the underlying problem was never diagnosed until a recent visit to another chiropractor who knew immediately what was wrong – a sacroiliac sprain. Little did I know that, during the months before my diagnosis, I was making it worse with… Read more »
