One of this year’s most popular looks has undoubtedly been the jumpsuit. I’ve been seeing them everywhere and on women of all ages. The jumpsuit is definitely something that is flattering however young – or old – you are. I think it looks its best when paired with a fabulous pair of heels and a statement necklace (provided the jumpsuit is quite plain). I’ve tried on a few but always felt a bit ‘odd’ when the legs tapered in at… Read more »

I’m a biker’s wife, which also means I’m a worrier. Every time he takes to the roads with his biker buddies, I stress over what could happen out there. I should also mention that I live in Portugal where the driving is notably bad. However, I do have immense trust in his capability as a driver – he has been a biker since he was about five, after all. I met him when I was sixteen years old and I’ve… Read more »

Have you written a book and are now thinking about publishing it? Not sure what to do? Well, stick with me and I’ll help you through the ins and outs of self-publishing. It’s much easier than you might think. First, it’s imperative to ensure your book is as polished as it can be, i.e. if you can afford to, hire an editor and get numerous beta readers to read it through before you hit ‘publish’. If you can’t afford an editor… Read more »

For the past couple of months I’ve been spending most of my time on my back… no, not because of that (wink wink)! Issues with my back have plagued me for years and I’ve seen various doctors and chiropractors but the underlying problem was never diagnosed until a recent visit to another chiropractor who knew immediately what was wrong – a sacroiliac sprain. Little did I know that, during the months before my diagnosis, I was making it worse with… Read more »

When I was about seven or eight years old, I was on holiday at a caravan park in Skegness (England). One afternoon, my parents took us to a kid’s disco and whilst there I shared a special moment with a beautiful young boy. As we were dancing he brushed his hand on my back and when I turned around to see who it was, I was mesmerised. I never forgot that moment. And that is what inspired Forever Fredless, my first chick… Read more »

Hi folks! I’m writing in the hope that you will share the love this month and help me out a little bit. I’ve just created a new Thunderclap campaign to help promote a free promo I’m having next month for Forever Fredless and I NEED as many supporters as possible to help me reach my goal – actually, I’d love to surpass that goal and reach for the stars. But I can only do that with your help. If you’re… Read more »

My husband is one of the most creative people I know. He creates with his hands whereas I use my… well, my head, I suppose! I write Chick Lit and YA books. He especially loves making stuff with driftwood found on the beach. Check out two of my favourite things he’s made… He wanted my input on what to write on the sign above… naturally, being an author of urban fantasy I had to include mermaids! And Tofino… because it’s the most… Read more »

I’m so excited to finally have released a chick lit book I actually wrote nearly twenty years ago! Stormy Summer began it’s life in my early twenties and was initially called Molly. However, the character has changed a little since then and Molly just didn’t cut it, so her new name became Summer. You’ll have to read the book to understand why I decided to call it Stormy Summer though! This is a really fun, light-hearted book perfect to read… Read more »

I thought today I might tell you little bit more about myself, considering I’ve started afresh with a brand new website (having left all of my old stuff back with weebly and blogger!). I’ve lived in Portugal for almost 30 years. Originally from England, I left Ol’ Blighty behind when I was ten years old. Not alone, of course,  my family came too 😉 . I had such an unusual start to my teens considering I had been brought up… Read more »

After giving it some serious thought over the past year or so, I finally did it. I completely moved, lock, stock and barrel over to WordPress and created a self-hosted site (I don’t even know if that’s the right term but it sounds good so I’ll stick with it). My previous site was a freebie with Weebly – which was pretty cool but it wasn’t my own, if that makes sense. Prior to that, I was with blogger and ditto, it… Read more »
