boyfriend jeans

The arrival of cooler temperatures means jeans are back on the wardrobe menu at last! I’m always excited at this time of year, when the summer has come to an end and the promise of cold days hovers in the air. Algarve climate Not that we ever get really cold days here in the Algarve. January and February can see temperatures plummet to a cool -3C (ish) on the very odd occasion – but that’s usually at night time or… Read more »

This week, I’ve got Jacamo on the blog – clearly something a bit different for you. It’s one specially for the men in your life. Michael (my gorgeous hubby) was invited to try out a few of their products and feature them on the blog. I must admit, I thoroughly enjoyed being behind the camera this time round, and I think Michael thoroughly enjoyed the attention in front of it lol! We took some of the photos by the riverside… Read more »

Cold Shoulder dress

If you’re a regular reader, you’ll already know I’m a huge fan of khaki. It’s the colour that always stands out to me in the shops. Last year, it was this little cold shoulder dress that appealed to me when I spotted it. You might recognise it because I’ve worn it once before – about a year ago, when my hair was super short. It’s such a great dress for the warm weather over here in the Algarve. Actually, I… Read more »

Little Black Dress

The little black dress – they say every woman should own a little black dress. To be honest, this is one item that I have always lacked in my wardrobe. No, that’s not completely accurate. I’ve had a couple but they just haven’t felt ‘right’.  Until now. Actually, to be completely honest I’ve had this little black dress for a couple of years but, for some reason, have completely neglected it. The little black dress from Stradivarius I bought it… Read more »

Blue linen shift dress

Blue linen shift dress – a new favourite! I spotted this blue linen shift dress whilst browsing the sales in Quebramar recently and I couldn’t resist trying it on. I’m glad I did because it’s made me realise that shift dresses really do suit me (I never thought they did). But you know the real bonus? It was only 17 euros in the sale! Penina Hotel I’ve worn it a couple of times since buying it but pictured here was… Read more »

Green vest

There’s nothing quite like being beside the seaside, is there? Unless, perhaps it’s August, it’s mind-bogglingly hot and swarms of tourists can be found around every corner! But I’m not complaining, of course not 😉 We popped into Portimao yesterday to have a wander around and a refreshing glass of orange juice at Pastelaria Arade. Then we stopped for a little while to admire the boats. It really is wonderful down there. But oh so hot. So very hot. Because… Read more »

Colourful, leafy print jumpsuit

It was about three years ago that I bought this colourful, leafy print jumpsuit from Bershka. With it’s fabulous leafy print, it’s still bang on trend. Not that I care about trends. I really don’t. I like to wear what suits me regardless of whether or not it’s hot at the moment. Don’t you? Speaking of hot, the weather was damn hot last week, which is when this jumpsuit comes out of the wardrobe. It’s such a lovely light cotton… Read more »
