A beautiful new amethyst necklace and a fab new part-time job!

Amethyst necklace

Christmas seems ages ago but whenever I open my necklace drawer (yes I have an entire drawer for them!), I’m reminded of the festive season with a whole host of gorgeous new necklaces given to me by mother-in-law. One of which is the most stunning amethyst necklace I’ve ever seen. Aren’t the stone and clasp absolutely gorgeous? Not only that but the chain from which it hangs, is also super pretty! Mother-in-law certainly knows what I like 🙂

I decided to wear it a few nights ago when we had friends over for dinner. I couldn’t take any decent photos at the time because of the light. So I popped on the same outfit yesterday and we headed down to Mexilhoeira Grande with Luna and tried to get some good shots. I think we succeeded 😉

Outfit of the day

Surprisingly, the amethyst necklace looks really good on top of the colour of this sweater which I bought from H&M just before our holiday. It cost less than 20 euros and is super cosy and warm. I’ve got a bit of a thing for fluffy jumpers at the moment. In fact, I think I have about four in my wardrobe!

This skirt is also quite new (in other words, I haven’t worn it before now), having bought it in the Massimo Dutti sales at the end of last summer. It’s a wool skirt containing a hint of cashmere. It’s incredibly comfortable and different from all the other skirts in my wardrobe. To be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what footwear to wear with it considering it’s length, but the ankle boots work really well.

Speaking of the ankle boots, this pair were bought online a couple of years ago. They’re Kurt Geiger Carvela but I can’t remember what site I bought them from. It may have been Secret Sales. If it wasn’t for my bunions, they’d be really comfortable! And the Knomo handbag (which I decided to be a bit matchy-matchy colour-wise) was won on a Twitter competition four or five years ago. Aren’t I a lucky girl?

My fab new part-time job

On the lines of being a lucky girl, I would also like to add that I now have a fabulous new part-time job. Every now and again I have a look at the job-site to see if there is anything that I might like to do. And it just so happens that I spotted an ad for someone to work at a local golf shop.

Now, I am by no means an expert on golf (in other words, I don’t know anything about it lol) but the idea of working there did appeal. So I applied, went for an informal interview and got the job! I started last week and did a couple of days and I must admit, I am thoroughly enjoying it. My boss and my colleague couldn’t be lovelier and I’ve already met some wonderful customers. Oh, and the shop sells the most gorgeous clothes. Who’d have thought that golf clothes would be so appealing?! Actually, even though they’re golf apparel, they’re perfectly suited to wear on a day-to-day basis. So, I might have to indulge in a few myself lol. I’ll keep you posted 😉
