Denim on denim – you either love it or hate it. I happen to love it (most of the time) probably because I happen to be in love with denim. I’m a massive fan of jeans (which, I’m sure you’ve noticed by now). I love how versatile a great pair of jeans can be. You can dress them up or dress them down yet you’ll always be comfortable. And comfort is something that is really important to me.

Denim on denim is a style that comes in and out of fashion (unless you’re a cowboy and then you’re pretty much in style all the time), but if you do it well, who cares whether or not it’s in style, right?

Last weekend, we went out for a drive to try and find some cool mountain air to enjoy. The hills of Monchique are always cooler than the coast, so we both put on a pair of jeans to go out in. We needn’t have though, it was still too hot! But I’d already decided I wanted to write about denim on denim so that was that.

I recently bought this cute sleeveless denim shirt from Primark (in the sale for €6) and wanted to team it with a pair of jeans. The colour wasn’t quite right with all the rest of my (hundreds of) pairs of jeans but it worked with these Massimo Dutti skinny jeans. Actually, they didn’t start out as skinny jeans. I bought them from Massimo several years ago as straight-legged jeans but after losing some weight, I decided to make them into skinnies. After I’d done that, I loved the contrasting colour it created down the sides!

Paired with cute tan New Look sandals, Marta Ponti tan leather bag, H&M ‘cowboy’ hat as well as this girlie floral bracelet I bought from a market stall a few years ago, I was quite pleased with the result.
But back to denim, I’m such a fan of wearing it, that if I could have the chance of having a ball gown custom made for me, I’d probably have it done in denim! Fun eh?
But what do you think? Do you like denim or denim? How do you wear it? Or do you hate it?

Found you from the link up. I used to not like denim on denim, but by a happy accident I ended up wearing it on holiday in the Spring and now I’m a fan. Especially if there is a variation between the colours – it is pretty easy to wear and style. Your outfit looks totally on trend!

Andrea, I was the same. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it – it was a bit too ‘country’ if you know what I mean, but I love it now lol!
