A red handbag to add to the collection

red handbag from desigual

The second I spotted this red handbag in Desigual on my Lisbon trip last week, I knew I had to have it! (Here’s the same bag on their UK site in black or white, non affiliate). The main thing that sold it to me was the fabulous striped, wide strap. I’ve got a thing about wide straps on handbags, because I want total comfort. I can’t be doing with thin straps that dig into your shoulders. Drives me mad. This particular bag actually comes with three different straps which impressed me too. A thin strap (which I obviously won’t be using), the wide strap and a third, chain strap. You can also remove all straps and just use it as a clutch, which I will also do, because I love a clutch bag for an evening out.

The other cool thing about the red handbag, is that I bought it at the Freeport Outlet Centre near Lisbon, so it was reduced in price. Bonus! I used it this weekend to go out for my dad’s birthday lunch. I’m wearing my favourite pair of trousers: the wide-legged tweed ones that I wear so much throughout the cooler months. I love them with my Skechers trainers (of which I have three pairs—white, black and red!). I added two other new items to the outfit as well, this long dark grey cardigan from H&M, and this white tee from Mango (also of which I have three lol—red, black and white—there seems to be a theme here, right? lol).

The look was finished off with a red stone necklace and beautiful ring (inherited), red and gold earrings (bought from my local supermarket last year!), and my black Citizen Eco Drive watch that Michael bought me the last time we were in New York. All in all, it’s a look I really like. I feel that it’s a look that is so me. I don’t know what style it comes under? What do you reckon? I really have no idea lol! Street style with a mix of Parisian?
