Denim, leather and lace

Denim-leather-and-lace-13I love denim, leather and lace, especially when combined into one outfit. So today’s look is most definitely a favourite of mine. I’ve had this black lace skater dress a few years now and it always comes out during the winter months. It looks so cute with thick black tights (or coloured ones) and black boots.

I bought these leather Carvela Kurt Geiger boots last winter and I adore them. I’ve been so looking forward for the weather to cool down just so I could get them out again. I got them from Secret Sales and I’m so glad I did. Did I mention that I love them?!
The denim element comes in the form of my favourite Primark jacket. I was on the hunt for a great little denim jacket a couple of years ago and I tried on loads of jackets in Aqua (my local shopping centre). I was prepared to pay a little extra for such an important wardrobe staple but when it came down to it, my favourite one just happened to be in Primark. It fitted well, was comfortable and I preferred the cut and colour to the others on offer.
(The necklace was the most fabulous gift from a friend, by the way.)
All in all, I just love the combination of all three items and I think it makes a really fun and feisty outfit, don’t you?

Denim-leather-and-lace-11As for the location for this shoot, we went back to my favourite place, mentioned in yesterday’s post. It’s such a quirky and amazing place. On one side of the road is an old ruin with an empty swimming pool where wild roots grow everywhere, whilst on the other side of the road, the same ‘twisted’ bricks jut proudly out of the ground. I don’t know what it used to be but there are stone seats and round tables around the edge of the plot. It’s so quirky, I just love it! I think it made these photos look amazing!

I’m a bit obsessed with dresses + clunky boots at the moment, and that necklace is glorious! The location looks incredible too – thanks for sharing!
