Odelouca is a beautiful spot for a photoshoot

It goes without saying that Odelouca is a beautiful spot for a photoshoot. I’m always on the look out for pretty locations to take outfit photos and last week (before I had my latest haircut!) Michael thought about Odelouca, a nearby reservoir. I’m glad he did. The weather was glorious and the location simply stunning, especially this time of year when the little white flowers start to bloom everywhere. Odelouca really is a lovely place to visit to wile away an hour or so – there’s even a cute little garden with benches where you can relax in the sun.

As for my outfit, I was in casual mode (you know how I love casual mode) and so I decided to put on my favourite pair (actually they’re my only pair) of combats and team them with this lightweight Tommy Hilfiger sweater, Primark denim jacket and white Converse. As it was a bit chilly when we first left, I also wore a plain blue scarf (also from Primark). Oh, and I mustn’t forget to mention my Camel watch. Actually, that’s a lie, it’s Michael’s watch 😉 I do love wearing a man’s watch. And Hawker’s sunglasses – sporty and fun, right? It’s such a simple outfit but one of my favourites. Like I’ve said many times before, I do love casual chic.

As for Odelouca, if you’re ever in the Algarve and are looking for pretty places to visit, hop in your hire car and head out from Silves towards Portimao / Monchique. You’ll soon see the signs for Odelouca. You’ll drive down a few windy roads until you’ll spot the water.

It’s a gorgeous drive – perhaps afterwards you could continue on your way and head on up to Monchique for some chicken piri-piri (famous bbq spicy chicken). It’s the perfect day out! We actually drove up the mountain after leaving Odelouca and stopped en-route to take a few more picture of Odelouca in the distance. The view was simply stunning, don’t you agree?

Suzy, you look fabulous and the views are breathtaking!! Today one of the things on my to do list is to check on volunteers from a couple local colleges to help with photography and such, it’s be so freeing to take some outside shots in a scenic locale or two.

Yes I’m glad you noticed as I actually forgot to mention that in the post (most go and link up to the other post!). It was a really peaceful place too.
      Thanks for stopping by Gemma!
