From a bit of bling to a bit of sparkle

sparkle

After last week’s ‘Bit of Bling‘ post featuring one of my favourite things: sparkle, I figured I’d follow it up with another one. Like I said before, I do love wearing things that sparkle so imagine my delight at finding this beautiful top with a rainbow of colourful sequins around the neck. Isn’t it just divine?

I found it in Zara earlier this summer. They also had a navy version but I just loved how the rainbow sparkles jumped off the cream. It’s incredibly pretty and negates the need for a necklace. Unfortunately I had to wait a while to wear it though, because it is quite a warm top, even though it has short sleeves. I would love a pretty tulle skirt to wear with it – wouldn’t that look great too?

I’m so relieved to report that the evenings are now much cooler (phew!) so my jeans are making a comeback at last lol. You know how I miss wearing them when it’s too hot. They’ll be featuring much more on the blog over the coming weeks (yay!). And here are my favourite skinnies, which I bought from a Levi’s store in the US a couple of years ago.

Calla sandals

These uber comfortable and pretty Calla sandals were the perfect footwear choice. I’ve only featured them once on the blog before – for my 20th wedding anniversary in June. Previously I wore them with a cute black lace dress so I wanted to show you that they look just as great with jeans. And they do, don’t they? Oh and by the way, the Rosa Sandals are currently on sale from £130 to £85.

I don’t use this little leather handbag very often but, because I was going for a girlie look, it seemed the perfect choice. I’m not always one for matching things but it does match my Calla shoes! It was a gift several years ago from my lovely mother-in-law. The pink earrings were also a gift from her but I forgot to take a close up. I wore them a couple of Christmases ago though (in an outfit that looks hideous now lol – actually, it wasn’t just the outfit, it was the hair too, which I was growing out at the time. Awful, just awful!!)
