Pretty pink dress
I was so chuffed to find this pretty pink dress in the sale at Stradivarius just a few weeks ago. It was one of those finds that left me smiling in the dressing room (I love those, don’t you?!). This pink dress just fit me like it was made for me, and I knew it would be perfect for warm summer evenings here in the Algarve (where I’ve lived since I was ten years old).
I wore the pink dress last weekend when we had friends over for dinner, and again last night for another dinner party at home. It’s so comfortable for this heat, and I love the way it flows out just below the bust. So I can get away with wearing it when I’m feeling bloated too (bonus, right?). It’s also got a very flattering neckline – quite low cut, but I quite like that. A slightly lower bust line usually takes the focus away from any other areas you’d rather not be the focus of attention!
The necklace I’ve had for years. I paid about 3 euros for it at a market stall from one of the tourist towns here in the Algarve (I can’t remember where exactly) and it goes with so much. I also wore some simple black sandals that I bought from Primark about five years ago – and they’re still going strong.
