There’s nothing quite like being beside the seaside, is there? Unless, perhaps it’s August, it’s mind-bogglingly hot and swarms of tourists can be found around every corner! But I’m not complaining, of course not 😉 We popped into Portimao yesterday to have a wander around and a refreshing glass of orange juice at Pastelaria Arade. Then we stopped for a little while to admire the boats. It really is wonderful down there. But oh so hot. So very hot.
Because of the heat, there was only one thing to wear: shorts. So I got out my old trusty white denims and put on my brand new green vest from Quebramar – which I got in the sale half price (yay!). And it was so hot, that I couldn’t even bother wearing a bra lol! There’s nothing worse than having to wear a bra in this heat, right?! I couldn’t even wear a necklace, either!
I chose my pretty white pleather handbag to go with the outfit, as well as my nude leather gladiator sandals. We ended up not staying in town too long though, because I just couldn’t bear it – the heat, that is. We are having a bit of a heat wave as I write and I just can’t get on with it. Sorry if you’re living in England and suffering with the opposite problem! I don’t mean to rub it in 😉

Suzy, green is such a fabulous color on you! I am quite partial to the color green as I am a green-eyed gal who has forever loved the color. But this particular shade is quite striking. I love it paired with white. And I hear you on the heat and not being able to tolerate it. Although, I hit the point of it being intolerable somewhere around 75 degrees Fahrenheit! I love that shade of green Suzy, it looks great with the white shorts. I do like hot weather when I can lounge by a pool all day but when you need to get on with stuff it can be horrible. It was very hot when we went to Madrid last year (35-38c) and the cafes and restaurants sprayed a fine cooling mist from the ceiling intermittently, that was so nice!

Oooh yes I’ve been to the odd place that sprays a fine mist to cool you down. It’s heavenly! But I agree with you… when you have to work in the heat, it’s hellish. But if you can chill by the pool, there’s nothing better.
