Eating out, eating in, chilling out and my strapless black dress

Enjoying an evening out right next door wearing my strapless black dress from George.

As I write this, I’m sitting indoors with the fan on, watching Journey to the Centre of the Earth. We’ve had a busy weekend of socialising and late nights and I’m so tired. But it’s a good tired when we’ve had such a lovely time! It’s also pretty hot outside. I ventured out to Algarve Shopping (another shopping centre about 35 minutes drive away from where I live) this morning and I could barely keep my eyes open driving back. I’m such a lightweight lol.

The reason I went to Algarve Shopping was because I wanted to check out the Zara sales. Sadly, I failed to find anything that really appealed to me. But I did buy a pretty pink dress from Stradivarius which I’m looking forward to wearing in the future.

Delicious paella

As for today’s post, this strapless black dress is what I wore on Friday night. We went to our Portuguese neighbour’s place for the most delicious paella and plenty of wine. I decided to wear this strapless black dress which can be dressed up or down. It’s super comfortable too which is a bonus in this heat. It was part of the George at Asda’s summer collection 2016. You might recognise it from last year’s post.

I got the impression that Luna approved of it too 😉

Strapless black dress: what I love about it

One of the things I love about the strapless black dress, is the elasticated drawstring waist which is perfect when you’ve pigged out on paella, white wine and chocolate cake lol. I wore my trusty Primark black sandals because in this heat high heels aren’t the most comfortable, are they?

Speaking of Primark, I bought this gorgeous blue necklace from there too. It cost less than two euros in the sale! I do love the colour and style of it, and believe it’ll go with loads of stuff. The beautiful gold earrings were one of my favourite gifts from my mother-in-law.

As for my handbag, you’ve seen it loads of times. It’s my favourite gold clutch from Massimo Dutti and I do use it an awful lot.

Pizza night

We had a dinner party at our place on Saturday night but we were so chilled out, that I got ready so slowly that we didn’t have time for photos before all our guests arrived (there were ten of us in total)! We had a fabulous evening of homemade pizza, lots more wine and three yummy desserts to choose from – tiramisu, chocolate cake and farofias (a delicious light Portuguese dessert made from egg whites and custard).

I’m going to return my attention to the sofa and my TV now. Journey to the Centre of the Earth has since finished so I must find something else suitably entertaining How was your weekend, did you get up to much? Ta ta for now 😀
