Easy dressing: an outfit I threw together

Easy dressing: this was one of those outfits I threw together with very little thought. All I knew was that I wanted to be warm because we were going out for an Indian meal to a restaurant we hadn’t been to before. From my experience at this time of year, many local restaurants aren’t very warm! So my trusty grey sweater was the first thing I picked up. Underneath it I did have a long sleeved tee-shirt on too. My white skinny jeans cried out to be worn along with it, so I put them on and turned them up so I could wear a pair of ankle boots.

Even though they’re fabulous, I haven’t actually worn these ankle boots much but I think they go really well with the white jeans, don’t you? They’re from Secret Sales – they’re actually Carvela. I love the deep red wine colour more than anything. They’re also the kind of thing that go with so much – perfect for easy dressing when you don’t have much time.

The grey sweater, white jeans and wine-coloured ankle boots would be a bit boring on their own, so a few added accessories were a must for this easy dressing outfit. First, my scarf (one of my addictions!) was bought from Parfois in Lisbon a few years ago and although I’m not over keen on the fabric (it’s not quite as soft as I would like), I completely fell in love with this pink, grey and beige print. Gorgeous! I’ve worn it a couple of times on the blog before, but this look is a particular favourite.

Adding a bit of sparkle

My handbag is to die for, right? It’s just utterly beautiful in all it’s sparkliness! It was a gift from my very good friend, Karen, who sadly moved back to the UK several years ago 🙁 I do miss her. But I remember her every time I take this glorious handbag out of the wardrobe. It always makes me smile. I just love how it catches the sun and shoots sparkles of light all over the place. That’s the best kind of accessory lol!

And I should also mention my adorable owl necklace – which, incidentally, was another gift from a friend! I just adore owls – I have since I was a kid, when they were brought into school. I completely fell in love with them. And then of course, there was Hedwig (Harry Potter’s snowy owl) which just strengthened my obsession with these beautiful creatures.

Please excuse my hair! It’s growing so fast and I’m desperate for haircut. Fortunately, I have an appointment on Wednesday phew. I can’t wait. I also apologise for the dodgy photos – sometimes the light just doesn’t work and this was one of those occasions where we struggled a bit!
